This sweater is as soft as Duckworth's stellar Maverick wool, which is saying something. It's a little toasty for a sunny fall day sometimes, but a perfect midlayer when the mercury drops. The weight-to-warmth ratio is crazy - no wonder yaks stay warm in winter despite being at such high elevation.

Received my Xenolith sweater in time for my recent three-week trip to Ireland. Wore it nearly every day in 40-50F wet windy weather with just a merino wool T-shirt & light hard-shell outerwear during frequent rain. Warm and very comfortable throughout varying conditions and moderate activity (long walks/climbs during the day, pub crawls at night..). My new primary top for cool/cold conditions and travel.

It's either a mid layer or single layer for my usage and both ways are great. I have this Xenolith over my Yushu LS Zip for greater warmth and works just fine. However for single layer, I felt a bit itchy for my skin, but perhaps it just for me. The loops is a killer feature for me! Overall is a very good product and I have stressed this several times, I like the idea of buying this product due to its support to the local Himalayan nomads. Great job, Kora.
