A long sleeved men's quarter zip sweater, designed as a mid layer.

Our Stratam LS Sweater combines 46% yak wool for its superior thermal properties with 42% durable and eco friendly DuPont™ Sorona® biopolymer for a smooth external surface.


Our Hima-Layer™ Stratam fabric is made with a combination of two yarns. On the inside the 100% yak wool yarn knitted in a terry loop construction traps air for warmth and provides excellent wicking properties. On the outside, we’ve used biodegradable DuPont™ Sorona®.


DuPont™ Sorona® is a biopolymer yarn made from corn starch. It creates a smooth surface which offers further protection from the elements.

Care Guide

Can be machine washed at 30°C. Do not use softener. Close any zips, wash with similar colours in a washing bag and dry on a line or rack.

A yak wool interior offers the natural functional benefits we love: warmth, breathability and wicking properties. We've added a smooth external layer of DuPont™ Sorona®, a recycled biopolymer, and features such as triple staged zig zag stitching, our signature tag tape on the cuff and a phone pocket on the front.

Giving back to the Himalayan nomads

kora was founded with the aim of supporting the communities of the Kegawa Herders' Cooperative, by buying their yak wool directly to create our layers.

A collective of more than 90 families in the Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, our friends live all year around at 4,500m.

We buy this wool at a set mid-market rate throughout the buying season in order to offer price certainty, and in addition we pay a 10% stipend.

The Kid
Kora comes through yet again!

I own and love several Kora products. When I saw this go on sale, I literally jumped at it...and man oh man, let me tell you...I sure am happy I did.

The look and feel is just awesome. Seriously, it looks and feels like nothing else I own, and the vast majority of my ski gear is very high end stuff, like Arc'teryx, Voormi, Mountain Hardwear, and Patagonia. This thing is so soft, it's rather crazy. The feel is so luxurious. Even the navy blue color looks so rich.

I'm a big guy and not in great shape right now. I wear XXL and sometimes, some brands are actually a bit too snug. This fits me great for a midlayer with a thin baselayer underneath. I'll need to lose a few pounds for it to truly fit and look like it should, but I can easily do that.

I'll be in Steamboat Springs ripping up the POW all next week, and I can already guarantee you that my new Stratam Sweater will be proudly shown off to friends...and maybe even some new friends. HA!

Thanks, Kora! Another great product. I just wish this came in a few other colors, so I could buy them wear it no matter what color jacket I'm sporting.

Good light sweater

Little thinner than I thought. Comfortable and good quality. Well made. Have not yet worn in really cold weather. Would like the zip neck base layer in all Yak wool.

Exceptional quality and performance

This is my 3 item from Kora and once again Kora have not disappointed. The quality and performance is so far exceptional from design to performance.No matter what the activity or temperature my core was always at a comfortable level. So far the best base to mid layer on the market. Great customer service.
